Milestones

This post is dedicated to all the milestones Autumn has hit in the past 2 months. She is growing so quickly that I can barely keep up with it all! She is cutting her first tooth right now and as soon as I can get a picture of it, I'll post it on here.

Right after getting back from our 4th of July trip, we started feeding Autumn rice cereal. I've heard a lot of babies don't really love this stuff, but Autumn can't get enough of it! These pictures are from the first time we fed it to her, which is why it's so watery. It dripped EVERYWHERE! It still is pretty messy - she definitely has my gift for getting food all over everything!

We cannot feed it to her quick enough!

At 3 months, Autumn learned to roll over from her stomach to her back and at 4 months she learned to roll over the other way. I was so excited until I realized that now she is mobile and you can't leave her anywhere by herself even for a minute! Here are two little clips of her rolling over.

This is one of my favorite videos we've taken of her because it shows her fun personality and sweet giggle. We'll do just about anything to hear her laugh like this!

4th of July Fun

As I'm typing this up, Eric is reminding me that it is WAY past 4th of July - thanks babe! I know it's late but we had so much fun 4th of July weekend and took tons of pictures that I wanted to share on here with everyone. We spent the weekend with our good friends Ben & Lauren at their parents' lakehouse. We had a great time being lazy, eating great, hanging out on the boat, tubing on the water, and playing with jet skis. Plus, we watched a great fireworks display on a boat in the middle of the lake - it doesn't get better than that!

Autumn did great with all of it! The loud noise of the fireworks didn't faze her in the least, in fact, she loved all the colors! We took her out on the boat a couple of times, and after she got over the annoyance of the life jacket, she fell asleep everytime we stepped foot on the boat.

On our way down there, we stopped in Dallas and met up with Eric's sisters for lunch. It was the first time we had met baby Isabella and it was so fun to see the two cousins meet for the first time. Here is a picture of the siblings and their babies. Eric was a proud uncle!

Autumn's Celebration of Life

I can't believe it's been June since I've updated this blog! Autumn has grown and changed so much since then so it will probably take me several posts to get everything on here. I thought I'd start with Autumn's Celebration of Life ceremony that we had at the end of June. There were 4 babies born at our church within 2 weeks so we decided to get together and have the ceremony one evening at the garden in back of our office at Betenbough Homes. It was such a special time! My parents drove up for the event and we had many of our close friends from work and church with us. Our pastor, Curtis House, is moving but was able to do the ceremony before he left, which meant a lot to Eric and I. Overall, it was a great celebration of Autumn and a time for us to commit to bringing her up in the Lord!
